The map/server/harness framing is a helpful reset. For ecommerce teams, it’s less about chasing a single “AI ranking” and more about making sure product entities, category language, and proof points consistently match how buyers actually ask for recommendations.

The city/concept analogy lands hard for one specific reason: it explains why brand mentions need to live in a semantically narrow neighborhood, not a generic AI one. 'Trust Insights gets mentioned in AI consulting contexts' is a different bet than 'Trust Insights gets mentioned in AI contexts.' The neighborhood is the unit. Picking the right neighborhood to live in is the strategy.
